Marinos Paphitis
As Executive Director South, Marinos has responsibility for all aspects of stakeholder and provider relationships for the Skills Funding Agency in the South covering London, Thames Valley, South, South West, Kent/Essex and Eastern.
Marinos has a wealth of experience in the education sector, having worked with the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) since its inception in 2001. Before being appointed Regional Director for the South East in June 2008, he was the LSC Area Director for Wiltshire and Swindon/Gloucestershire. Prior to this role, Marinos was the Executive Director for LSC Somerset and was also Director of the National Contracts Service, which later became the National Employer Service.
During his time at the LSC in the South West, Marinos was the lead on Apprenticeship developments and performance. Marinos had also formerly worked in the South East region, where he undertook a range of senior roles including the position of Training Director for Thames Valley Enterprise.
