Richard Field
Richard joined the Learning and Skills Council as Director of Information in 2005 and became Chief Information Officer and National Director of Information Management (IM) Services in April 2010 at the inception of the Skills Funding Agency. Richard leads the shared IM service that provides services to the Education Funding Agency, the Skills Funding Agency and the wider Further Education and Skills sector.
Having held several senior roles in the energy industry during his private sector career, including CIO at Airtricity in Dublin and Energy Trading IM Director at Powergen (now EoN), he is now responsible for the strategic development and delivery of business systems across FE and Skills.
A graduate of Bath University with an MBA from Warwick Business School, Richard is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers; a Chartered IT Professional and a Managing Successful Programmes practitioner. He is married with two daughters and a Springer Spaniel.
