Simon Waugh
Simon joined the newly formed National Apprenticeship Service in February 2009.
Simon started his career at American Express working in operations, customer service, finance, planning and sales, and marketing. He subsequently held senior Board level roles in Lloyds TSB and SAGA.
In 1997 Simon joined Centrica Plc, a FTSE 25 Company, as Group Marketing Director encompassing British gas, the AA, One-Tel and Goldfish. He was also Managing Director of Centrica Financial Services (incorporating AA and Goldfish finance businesses) and Deputy Managing Director of British Gas.
He is also non-executive Chairman of CMC Markets Plc, Chairman of SPARKS children's charity, and is a life fellow of both the Marketing Society and the Institute of Direct Marketing.
