Employer Responsive Programme – large employer factor funding calculation error

Two errors have been identified with the application of the large employer factor within the funding calculation for Employer Responsive provision. This only affects the funding for apprentices who are with an identified large employer.

Sub-contracting arrangements

In line with the requirements set out in the recently published 2010/11 Funding Requirements for Apprenticeship and Train to Gain, colleges and providers are requested to notify the Skills Funding Agency of their sub-contracting arrangements. A declaration form has been developed to collect the required information on sub-contractors.

Important information on the matrix Standard

The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills started a procurement exercise for the management of the matrix Standard assessment and accreditation process. The existing contract ends on 30 July 2010. Unfortunately, this process had to be terminated and no contract has been awarded. The Department intends to start a new tender exercise to appoint an organisation to manage the Standard.
