New providers
The Skills Funding Agency welcomes approaches from training organisations wishing to be considered by the Skills Funding Agency for the provision of education and vocational training services. As a starting point, new providers are advised to consult the ‘How we work with you’ and ‘Our programmes’ pages of the Skills Funding Agency’s website to ensure that the programmes and qualifications you wish to offer are among those that we fund. These pages can be accessed from the menu on the left of this page.
The Register of Training Organisations
The Register of Training Organisations is a list of training organisations that are eligible to be considered for funding from the Chief Executive of Skills Funding (the Agency) to deliver education and training services in England.
In order to be included on the Register of Training Organisations, organisations are required to pass a Due Diligence Assurance Gateway. This consists of two elements - submission of financial statements and an online questionnaire. These are then evaluated to determine whether organisations pass or fail the Due Diligence Assurance Gateway.
Minimum Contract Level
From 2011/12, the Skills Funding Agency is, in most cases, applying a minimum aggregate contract value of £500,000 for any provider delivering education and vocational training services. This was announced last year in Skills for Sustainable Growth (Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, November 2010).
Further information on the implementation of the Minimum Contract Level in 2011/12 can be found in Guidance Note 6 (Skills Funding Agency, December 2010) and in the accompanying Frequently Asked Questions document (Published 7 April 2011).
Specific queries on the details of the process for implementing Minimum Contract Level should be emailed.
Minimum Contract Level information for existing providers only
Please find a letter template for providers, in scope for the Minimum Contract Level, to declare their intentions for 2011/12 to the Agency. A signed copy of the completed (guidance on completing the letter can be found at the end of the letter) must be returned to the Agency by 3 May 2011.
