Business Secretary Vince Cable announced on the 8 September 2010 that colleges across England will benefit from funding of £50 million from the Government to invest in new buildings and renovate existing ones.
The Chancellor and Chief Secretary announced on the 25 May 2010 that £50 million of Train to Gain funds would be redirected to further education capital projects. The announcement explained that the Government expects that the public investment in capital will attract an additional £100 million of private funds to establish a fund of £150 million.
